We’re back with sport karting action and the 12th season of the CalSpeed Super Series, taking to the Nuotivo circuit for the first of 10 rounds in the championship. The past couple of years have seen Classico CCW open things up, but we will see a return to the clockwise direction to kick things off, the last time we did so for the Super Series being the Classico Grand Prix back in August.
It may be a change in venue for the season opener, but the names attending have largely remained unchanged, with 32 of the top 35 in the points from a season ago back on the entry list here in January. That includes all of the top 5 and 13 of the top 15, and each of the subcategories has also seen a boost, either ineligible entries, talent, or drivers moving up via the ladder system; the CalSpeed Sprint Series.
