Round #2 is the second race in the month of January for the CalSpeed Sprint Series, the championship taking a break from racing during the month of February, and returning the first week of March.
Last month the series kicked things off on the Nuotivo layout, and saw a new face atop the podium, with Ronnie Swaim Jr bringing home his maiden win in the Series, joined by Matt McCoy and Evan Lawrence in the hardware positions.
21 of the top 25 in points from the opener will return to do battle this weekend on the Grande circuit, with several missing out because of the speedy sell out of the event. The wait list has certainly been a hot topic this week, with each of the absentees on said list.
For those in attendance, however, the Grande layout beckons, and we’ll go further in-depth of not only the track, but also the top ten in the standings, the top 5 in the SE category, and finally a couple of wildcards making their first start of the year.
