We’re at the halfway point in the season, and already have had 4 different winners in four races, including last month’s first-time winner Matthew McCoy. He was joined by Diego Alvarado and Matt Steele on the podium, the pair both in the hunt for the 2020 series championship.
Speaking of which, with four down and four to go, we are starting to see who the protagonists are; everyone chasing Diego Alvarado, who has had three 2nd place finishes thus far, while Ivan Martinez splits him and the aforementioned Matt Steele to complete the top three in the standings. More on that in a bit, but this event is the big one for the year for all of these drivers; the Classico GP Weekend.
Ivan Martinez scored his maiden win in this race last year, and is certainly driving even better now… he was joined by Sam Hunt -who was a 2R at the time, and Ayrton DeMoss. DeMoss is entered, but he is the 2R this time…
And as it does, this event brings out the heavy hitters, and along with DeMoss, we have some other 2R drivers entered to make things even more interesting. Plenty to cover, so let’s jump into it…
