CalSpeed Sprint Series 2020 Round 4 Preview

After over four months down, the Sprint Series is back for Round #4 of the now-8 round championship, taking to the Sportivo layout this weekend.

Back in March, it was Ivan Martinez snagging the top step, with Michael Martin scoring his first career podium, while former race winner Tony Wika rounded out the top 3.

Since then, those three and many others have knocked off the rust, either at the Super Series Round #3 or the Oval event -both held back in June- but there are still a few who have been out of the seat for nearly the full 4 months.

To that end, the Clinic preceding the Sprint Series is a sold out affair, but the fact we are still on the Sportivo layout is a boon to the rusty, as it has been in place since CalSpeed re-opened about a month ago.

In today’s preview, we will, of course, take a closer look at the Sportivo layout, but also reset the stage of the championship by looking at the top ten overall, and then finally a couple of the names on the outside looking in that can still make some noise and climb into the conversation…
