If you haven’t heard already, CalSpeed Karting made some big announcements for the 2017 Arrive and Drive Season. Many of these were discussed during last Saturday’s Roundtable but we’ve reiterated it all right here for your perusal.

2017 Highlighted Changes/Additions
IronMan Series
- Expanded to 10 round series with 2 drops
- Still has two sub-championships, now 5 rounds and 1 drop each
- Mechanical kart swap introduced inside of first 45 minutes
- Single file rolling starts instead of standing starts
Sprint Series
- Expanded to 10 round series with 2 drops
- Still has two sub-championships, now 5 rounds and 1 drop each
- Expanded to 3 run groups per day to allow for more entries
- Eligibility for experienced drivers narrowed. 2R drivers now capped at 300
Super Series
- Shortened to 10 round series with 2 drops for longer ‘Off Season’
- Shortened length of day and down time by going to 3 run groups
- Heavy Class returns
- Top 5 Invert in second Heat Race
- Lead lap bonus points added
- Double-File Rolling Starts return to the A-Main
- Expanded Classico Grand Prix with longer races and Super Pole Qualy
- New ‘Pro Class’ that runs in the new Spec VLR LO206 package
