The CalSpeed Super Series is the largest and most professional arrive and drive kart racing program in the world. The 10-race series features up to 90 competitors per round, with all drivers weight-ballasted for equality, and 30 karts on track in any given session. The Super Series not only scores the coveted Overall Points Championship, but also Rookie, Masters (age 40+), Grand Masters (age 55+), and Heavy (230+ lbs) championships are scored as well. With various track layouts scheduled, a highly maintained fleet of race karts, and top level officiating, the Super Series puts the race in the driver’s hands more than any other series worldwide. Whether you’ve driven indoor karts, high performance karts, or even race cars, the CalSpeed Super Series is home to some of the best wheel to wheel competition around.
New for 2017 is the Pro Class, geared towards the upper echelon drivers from the Super Series. It utilizes the new VLR Spec 206 package that is similarly run with the CSK Racing Team at Tri-C club events. Lighter, faster, and with more grip than the Sport Karts used in the Super Series, the Pro Class also sees a rule package that differs only slightly from the rest of the Super Series, but focuses even more on wheel to wheel racing. With three laps of qualifying, a full invert of the second heat race, and rolling starts for every session; this is the next level for CalSpeed’s arrive and drive programs.
