Karting Schools

The CalSpeed Karting School is revolutionary in several significant ways. First and foremost, the program is built on seat time, and plenty of it. While most racing schools fill the day with talks and walks and limit the drive time, CalSpeed teaches by doing. Students spend the their time behind the wheel, learning through application, not osmosis. Second is the use of a state-of-the-art racing textbook – the World Champion Sodi SR race kart powered by a 125cc TAG engine. This potent combo delivers up to 30HP, accelerates to 60MPH in less than 4 seconds and produces upwards of 3Gs of cornering force. The third, yet far from last, major advantage is the CalSpeed campus. The international 14-turn, 3/4 mile purpose-built race track hosts many of the top kart racing events in North America.

"The experience was simply amazing! CalSpeed does a great job combining classroom time with track time. You have to do this - it’s worth every penny and takes karting to a different level." – Alfredo A., Graduate
In addition to the abundance of seat time, pro-level race karts, and a world class racing facility, an innovative curriculum is the foundation of the CalSpeed Karting School. CalSpeed’s instructors have extensive experience in the racing industry – from teaching with Skip Barber, Jim Russell, Derek Daly, and Jim Hall, to managing race programs for BMW, Ferrari and Lamborghini, the CalSpeed crew has a wealth of knowledge in all areas of high performance driving. The culmination of these experiences is the CalSpeed Karting School – the evolution of high performance driver training.
